Do you have a circular business model?

The circular economy will play a key role in reaching the global sustainable goals and a more resource efficient economy driven by renewable energy. Quite often, companies can benefit from more profit through circular business models than a linear model, if they can capitalize on the higher efficiency. But how can a company approach the circular business?

One way is to split the circular economy in four parts:

Narrowing loops means efficiency of production, distribution, and consumption processes, for example, reduce the resources required to deliver a given customer value.

Slow Down

Slowing down is to extend the life of products by reuse or remanufacture.

Closing the loop is perhaps the most common perception of the circular economy and means reintegrating waste into supply chains and by reusing and recycling products.

Intensify loops goes beyond the slowing phase by transforming products into services, to optimize assets already produced like in the case of many sharing services.
